O-H-I-O!

After dabbling in the national aspect of sports, a decision has been made here at TSD. I really don't give a damn about the Texas Rangers or the Chicago Bears so why should I write about them here? I shouldn't have to. So I'm not going to. My passion is for sports teams in Ohio. The love of the teams in Cincinnati and the loathe tolerance of the teams in Cleveland. So from this point on, we will be known as an Ohio sports blog. We are based in Ohio so why not talk about Ohio. And the girls are with me here. We have Bethany who loves the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Cincy teams (like moi), Carolyn who is a big Cleveland Cavaliers fan, and Jodie will be our outsider looking in. She's a New England sports fan but we will forgive her for that. Besides, she can teach us Ohio pro sports fans how to feel when a team that you support actually wins.

And then there is the coverage of the college sports teams in Ohio. Obviously with the picture above, we will be discussing Ohio State sports. But since we are an Ohio sports blog we can't stop there. UC, Toledo, BGSU, OU and others will get their mentions.

The pride of Ohio is alive at TSD.

Things Have Changed

Obviously things look different around here. I went with a different look. I do love the pink and purple but decided to celebrate some other colors that are dear to me. Red, Gray, Black and White. I hope you like :)

I'm Back!

It's good to be back here typing on my laptop again. It's also great to see that it's snowing outside right now. That last one was sarcasm if you don't know. The Midwest is just fabulous.

Since I wasn't sitting in front of a computer all weekend like normally, I did other things. Of course I spent time with the family but I also caught up on some reading. By the way, I've added a new book to the TSD book club, God Save The Fan by Will Leitch. I'll elaborate more on that later. I also caught up on ESPN the Mags Fan issue. I find that issue a little funny being that ESPN doesn't like sports bloggers and we are all fans, right?

What else did I do? Oh yeah, I watched the Louisville vs. Georgetown game a.k.a the Rick Pitino White suit vs. Black suit game. Before that game I watched the Ole Miss vs. Arkansas game, saw some more of my family, listened to the Ohio State game on my way home (sad they lost), and watched the Pro Bowl. And I stopped to get me some Gold Star Chili on my way home. Good stuff.

The Craziness of College Football!

The Ohio State Buckeyes are #1 in the polls! No this is not 2006. This is the year of the upsets! Guess who's number 2: South Florida! Followed by Boston College. It's been a crazy year in college football. I'm a little speechless on what has happened. I'm sure that won't last.

I'm in the middle of changing this site today. So as you can see it does look different than it did yesterday. I'm not done though. I should be back tonight with more post but if I am not, I will be back in full force tomorrow night.

Happy October!

Happy October peoples! Yes, I do know that I'm a day late but I was getting fired up yesterday for.....the Bengals loss. Of course everyone outside of Bengals nation knew that the Bengals would lose to the Patriots but Bengals fans can dream can't they? But I'm not here to talk about that loss right now. Yes that loss did happen in October but let's not dwell on the bad.

October has to be one of the great months for sports. MLB playoffs! College football! NFL! NHL season begins! Midnight madness for college basketball begins (October 12th)! At the end of the month the NBA season begins!

Oh I'm so excited! Now if you will excuse me I have to go be social and hang out with people. Yes, I would rather stay here and post but I have to spend time with my friends. I'll be back later!

P.S. Who do you guys think will win the MLB World Series? My pick near the beginning of the season didn't even make the playoffs.
