Hey Carmello: I Won't Get In Trouble If You Give Me Free Tickets
"I was talking to him like, `Man, you're out pretty late. You've got a game tomorrow night against Kobe [Bryant],"' Mayo said. "He said, `Nah, it will be all right.' And then he asked, `You want to come to the game?' And I was like, 'Sure.' " (OJ Mayo-ESPN.com)
The Ohio State tickets that I used to go to the game last night were given to me by a colleague. I did not pay for them. She couldn't go and asked if I would like them. I just wanted to let everyone know that.
Now doesn't OJ Mayo wish it was that simple? Apparently, he might be in trouble with the NCAA for taking tickets from Carmelo Anthony. Maybe if they weren't courtside seats there wouldn't be this much trouble over it. If it was coming from a coach or someone in the front office of an NBA team then I maybe NCAA should say something. But, maybe we should take a step back and think that OJ and Carmello could actually be friends? Am I asking too much?
