IT’S BUCKEYE TIME!

We are less than an hour away from Ohio State @ Minnesota. You've seen what has happened in the last 24 hours in college football.

1. USF upsets #5 WVU 21-13. Go Bulls!

2. #3 Oklahoma is upset @ Colorado 27-24.

3. Illinois gets over on #21 Penn State 27-20.

4. Kansas State rolls over #7 Texas 41-21.

5. #9 Rutgers loses to Maryland 34-24.

It has been madness! Hopefully Ohio State doesn't stub their toe tonight against Minnesota. GO BUCKS! I'll be rooting for you!

Other matchups to watch tonight:

- USC @ Washington. After what has been happening I'm sure everyone can expect the upset. But this is the #1 team in the country. And after LSU not waking up until the 3rd quarter against Tulane, with a solid win USC can shut those haters up.

- Florida vs. Auburn. Auburn was the only team to beat Florida last year. This could be revenge on the gators part. But this is still the SEC where anything can happen.

Enjoy the games!

A New Reason To Hate Time Warner

“We recognize how important these games are to Big Ten fans and are pleased we were able to reach an arrangement with Big Ten Network that makes sense for all of our customers.” - WOW president and CEO Colleen Abdoulah

I didn't get The Columbus Dispatch this morning, decide to read a book on public transportation instead, but if I had I would have been mad all day.

An article on the paper's website says that Wide Open West (WOW) reached an agreement with the Big Ten Network this morning. That's two cable providers in Central Ohio that now have the channel. The cable provider that I have, Time Warner, does not. You might wonder why I don't switch. Well for one I shouldn't have to and two my apartment complex has a contract with Time Warner. But congrats to all the Insight and WOW customers. Let me know if you have any extra room during basketball season. On the Ohio State Men's Basketball schedule, I counted 12 games being televised on BTN, 1 TBA, and 4 more possible games televised on BTN. And what is going to happen with the Big Ten Tournament?

I'm hoping that Time Warner will wake-up before they lose customers. Unlike me, most customers probably have a choice. I'm sure that picking between their cable provider or their favorite college team won't be hard to make.

Ohio State Goes 3-0!

I love the exclamation point (!).

The Buckeyes showed Washington and the nation that they were meant to be in the top 10 yesterday beating the Huskies 33-14 on the road. It was close at halftime but Washington had the momentum. They scored the first touchdown of the game when Jake Locker passed to Anthony Russo in the end zone. The score was 7-3 Washington. Then in the second half, like last week, the Buckeyes woke up. They stopped the Huskies in Buckeye territory and blocked a field goal attempt. And on the second play of the Buckeyes drive, Todd Boeckman threw to Brian Robiskie for a 68 yard TD pass. Then on the kickoff, the Buckeyes forced a fumble and recovered it. And in less than two minutes, the score was 17-7 Ohio State. It was all Buckeyes after that.

Game ball goes to: James Laurinaitis. With 2 interceptions and 8 tackles he is the TRUTH!

Next Up: Northwestern @ home. It is time to get into Big Ten play.

Duke Wins!

The 22 game losing streak is over. Duke beat Northwestern on the road 20-14. First game they've won on the road since 2003 (North Carolina). First game they've won against a Bowl Subdivision Team since 2004 (Clemson). First time they beat someone since 2005 (Virginia Military Institute). Congratulations Duke! You have a notch in the win column. That's one more win than Notre Dame. Up next for Duke is Navy on the road. Keep it rolling, Blue Devils!

Buckeyes Go West; Big Ten Trying

It is a beautiful day in Columbus, Ohio. It is currently 60 degrees and the high will only be 65. It's definitely football weather. Unfortunately, The Ohio State Buckeyes are not in town for this weather. They are on the road @ Washington. Big Ten vs. Pac-10. I love this matchup. Playing a team in the Pac-10. No they aren't USC but it's all about Big Ten pride today. Illinois is getting it done @ Syracuse right now 27-10, Michigan State is on top of Pittsburgh 14-10, Wisconsin is back on track against Citadel 31-21, Purdue is on top of Central Michigan 38-14 and Penn State finally wakes up to play against Buffalo 31-3. It's time for the Big Ten to keep moving. Even Michigan who goes up against Notre Dame today. Both teams are 0-2. You may think that it would be easy for Michigan to beat ND today, but who honestly thought that Michigan would be 0-2 right now? So Lets Go Bucks and go Big Ten!
