So Long Barry From San Fran

It's been awhile since I've mentioned Barry Bonds.Barry will not be in a San Francisco Giants Uniform in '08. He was there for 15 years breaking single season and and all-time home run records. The fans loved him there and I'm sure he loved it there too.Since he says he's not done, where will he go? Espn.com reports that he has checked out a few teams including Oakland, San Diego and St. Louis. Maybe he should consider Pittsburgh. You know they haven't had a winning season since he left. Maybe it would reverse the curse.

Who Wants To Be A 1/2 a Millionaire?

The man who caught Barry Bonds ball, Matt Murphy (21), has decided to sell 756. He is putting it online for auction from 8/28 - 9/15. It is said that he could get up to $500,000 for it. He wanted to keep it to show his grandchildren someday. He should take a picture of him and the ball, frame it and then show that to the grandkids. Who should also be in that picture? His friend that he made a pregame pact with. Murphy gets 51%...Amir Kamil, his friend, gets 49%. That's some friendship.

Look Barry, I Can’t Just Talk About You

So Barry won't go quiet into the night. The day after he hit 756 he hits 757. The Giants won and Bruce Bochy got his 1,000 career win as a manager. Congrats!

Barry Bonds #756

There's no way you missed this if you've watched tv today. But if so, or if you want to watch again. Here It Is!

I Fell Asleep!

So it happened at 8:51 pm Pacific Time. I live in Eastern Standard Time. It was 11:54 pm here and I fell asleep. Obviously you know that Barry Bonds is now the new Home Run King. Whether you like it or night, he's it. Well, I tried to stay up to see if it would happen. I probably fell asleep between 11:45 and 11:50. I did wake up at 12:03 am to see a replay of what happened since I fell asleep with the TV on. Thought about rushing over to my computer to post this but I was so tired. Then of course there was always this morning before work. But not when I slept in a little too late, don't worry didn't miss the bus. So here it is. My Barry Bonds homerun king coverage. Yes it is later than everyone else but I'm not everyone else. Congratulations Bonds. Tell your daughter to stay adorable.

1st A-Rod, now Barry. He has hit HR # 755 to tie Hank Aaron on his first at bat. Congrats! Now we're just waiting for Tom Glavine. Maybe tomorrow.

Can We Get On With This Already?

Oh Barry, Barry, Barry. You hit two home runs today. No. 752 and 753. Congratulations. Now please do us all a favor and HURRY UP! I don't care if you hit them at home, I don't care if you hit them on the road in Milwaukee, where Bud Selig should have no reason to not come watch, I just don't care. Just please get it done. I will be happy for you I promise. I am not one to hate on you. I just want it to be done with already.

Ok, I'm done ranting on Barry. Sorry, maybe I'm PMSing. Sorry for the guys that I mentioned PMSing. And also mentioning it again but I am a girl. These things do happen. Ok enough about my monthly issues and back to sports.

YAY! Ryan Freel just hit a 3 run homer to put the Reds on top 7-5 in the top of the 8th. That just lightened my mood. And then I think about their record and non-post season. Ok, I need to go find some Midol.
