TSD Book Club 3rd Selection

 

Okay, it is February 12th and I believe it is time to add a new selection to the TSD Book Club. Now we all know from the last post what that selection is. God Save The Fan by Will Leitch. Will is the editor of Deadspin, a popular sports blog that if you haven't heard of it makes me question your fan of sports blogs.

In no way am I selecting this book to suck up to Will. I don't even know him. I do read his blog and have read the book (I'm actually on page 262 reading about how he went to a bar in the Flatiron district to be with his "people"). He discusses issues with the players, owners, media, and the fans. One of my favorite parts of the book is when he knocks a Cleveland Browns fan for complaining about the Browns not winning a Super Bowl and how that fan should have been cheering when the Baltimore Ravens won it in the 2000 season. I've rubbed it in my friends faces so many times how their team had to leave the city to win a Super Bowl. 

Anyway, it's a good read so read it with me.
