In Loving Memory: Bill Willis

A great Buckeye and pioneer passed away today. The former Ohio State football and NFL great Bill Willis died last night. He helped break the racial barriers in when Paul Brown chose him to be apart of the newly Cleveland Browns in 1946. Paul Brown also coached him in 1942 (a national championship year!) when he was a Buckeye.

He had his jersey retired this year during halftime of the Ohio State vs. Wisconsin game on November 3rd. Very deserving.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends left behind.

TSD College Football Top 10 WEEK 13

I'm back! You know you missed me. I had a great time with the family watching the big upset! Sorry Chicks In The Huddle. Now all my friends keep reminding me how close Ohio State came to making it to the national championship in 1998 but came up short. They of course could be one loss by Missouri or West Virginia away from making it to the national championship game. I'm not going to get my hopes up. To me, they are on their way to the Rose Bowl. If something happens ahead of them, great. If not, still great. They haven't been to the Rose Bowl in over a decade. Ok, enough of that. Here is this weeks Top 10!

TSD College Football Top 10 WEEK 12

This was hard for me. After the losses by Oregon and Oklahoma, I so wanted to jump Ohio State up to #3. The Buckeye in me was fighting for it but logic won. Here is the new TSD top 10.

I feel like a little kid. It's like the night before a birthday or Christmas. The butterflies are here. The goosebumps come everytime they are the commercial. And soon it will be game time. GO BUCKS!

OSU - Michigan 2001

I got a little ahead of myself with adding the 2004 game before this one. This was Tressel's first game against Michigan and my favorite OSU player EVER Mike Doss made some great plays. GO BUCKS!

Ohio State vs Michigan 2004

Another great win over that team up north. Ohio State was the underdog and Michigan was looking to going to the Rose Bowl. Yes Michigan did end up in the Rose Bowl but not without a loss to The Ohio State University. Troy Smith started his undefeated career against Michigan. Great game!

This is the beginning of Michigan Week! Excitement is in the air. We will begin with a throwback video. I came to this part of the state in 1998, so we will begin there with Michael Wiley's TD run. GO BUCKS!

7 Field Goals Lifts My Spirit

I was unable to watch the Cincinnati Bengals game today because Columbus, Ohio decided they weren't going to air it but from my dad, ESPNEWS, and the internet I was able to see that the Bengals defeated the Ravens 21-7. Yay! Now the Bengals are 3-6 and their remaining schedule consist of the Arizona Cardinals, the Tennessee Titans, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the St. Louis Rams, the San Francisco 49ers, the Cleveland Browns, and the Miami Dolphins. the Steelers, 49ers, and Dolphins games are on the road. There is a chance that they go .500 this year. Let's not have any losing seasons!
